Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 June 2026

Groo is a community where people share lived experience to help others make better decisions. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using Groo, you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

Groo (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Groo mobile application and the website at groo.social. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@groo.social.

Information we collect

How we use your information

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Content you post is visible to other users of the community, as that is the purpose of Groo. We share limited information with trusted service providers who help us run the app — for example, our hosting and database provider — and only so they can perform services on our behalf. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Data storage and security

Your information is stored with our infrastructure providers and protected using reasonable technical and organisational measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can edit or delete your content within the app, and you can request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@groo.social. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Children

Groo is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of Groo after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
